DESCRIPTION | Merle
Mountain mule deluxe. If you want a good looking, strong, sane, experienced trail mule look no further. Merle is a 10 y/o, 15.2, 1200lb john mule. He's has spent the last 4 years as a key member of our outfit and my main riding mule. Guiding sheep hunts in September, elk hunts in October and lions hunting through the winter he's seen some big country. He's never needed a sick day and always clutch when things are tough. Merle takes care of himself and rider. Loves a good picket mare but will ride out alone for the day. He fits anywhere in the string or can lead it. He packs meat and horns, crosses ice, bogs, logs, rocks and doesn't mind dogs. He'll load in the back of a truck so there's no need for a trailer. We've taken him to town, and he did great but most of his career has been spent in the mountains. Good to saddle, bridle, shoe and haul. Rides with a crupper, or britchen but holds a saddle better than most horses. Please watch his video as it shows him off well.
