This event was created to give everyone with a great jack or a great breeding program the opportunity to promote their colts.  If you can’t attend the event, please consider contacting your breeders and join with them in consigning to the Futurity thereby gaining national recognition with your jack or breeding program.

 

Placings & Payoffs will be paid according to total number of entries.

70% of all entry fees (less a $25 stall fee) will be jack potted

Sunday Select Saddle Mule Auction:  Top two placings in each futurity will be given the opportunity to sell in the auction. The sale order of these futurity mules will be placed after #60 in the auction as a supplement to the Auction catalogue. 

 

1 & 2-Year-Old Futurity mules will compete in the Halter Classes using the 1 & 2-year-old Halter Futurity Pattern.

3-Year -Old Snaffle Bit Futurity mules will compete in the Trail Course and the reining pattern and cow work.

Mules will be judged on confirmation and disposition deemed favorable to the saddle mule industry.

 

Futurity payments are due as follows:

        1 year old Halter Futurity—$125 entry fee due in full March 1st

                                                                                                               or 1st pmt due March 1st

        2 year old Halter Futurity—$125 entry fee due in full March 1st

                                                                                                               or 1st pmt due March 1st

        3 year old Snaffle Bit Futurity—$175 entry fee due March 1

                                                                                                     or 1st pmt due March 1st

· Late fees apply if not paid by due dates   (Please see schedule below)

· No Entries will be accepted after June 10, 2007.  A mule may be entered in the futurity up to June 10, 2007, but will have to pay the applicable late fees and futurity fees as shown in the schedule below.

· All futurity and late fees are non-refundable.

· All Futurity mules will be checked for age.

· Mules will be judged on confirmation and disposition deemed favorable to the saddle mule industry.

· Stall fee is included in entry fee.

$1,000 is guaranteed to the First Place Winner with entries of 20+.

$   500 is guaranteed to the First Place Winner with entries of 10+.

Top 2 winners in each class will have the opportunity to be in the Select Saddle Mule Auction .

Step 1:  All mules come in at a walk and line up  in order across the side of the arena in front of the bleacher area, facing the bleachers.  (This line up does not have to be in back number order.)

 

Step 2:  When you are called...walk your mule in front of the judge, turn and walk away from the judge half way down the arena, trot the next half of the arena, turn, walk half way back to the judge, trot up to the Judge and stop, setup your mule in front of the Judge to examine your  mule.

 

Step 3:  When you are dismissed from the judge, trot to the end of the line and move down as others come in.   You will end up in the same position as you started when all mules are finished.
