June 15:  Select Saddle Mule Auction Trail Course:  Each year we promote the auction with select saddle mules and to show off each mule’s qualities a trail course is offered, but not a course designed as an obstacle course to eliminate mules.  The course could include: pick up various feet, bridle, cross a creek, zigzags on a hillside, logs to cross, wooden bridge to cross, stop and have the mule stand for 2 minutes, lead your mule through a gate, etc..  Each mule will be rated by its acceptance and achievement through each section of the course.  Consigned mules-no charge and is not mandatory, but it is suggested as a tool for promoting your mule in the auction and final scores will be posted in the auction barn.  Non Auction mules will be charged $10 & be jack potted back.  Suggestions are welcome.

We are very happy that our Select Saddle Mule Sale has so much interest annually.  Because of this, and that we limit our sale mule numbers, we begin taking consignments January 1st each year.  Our sale is generally full by January 15th or earlier.

For new consignors, please forward a video of your auction mule in November or December.  Please show your mule on video as follows:  catching the mule in a large area, not a small pen; bridling the mule; saddling the mule, riding the mule; and picking up its feet.  Please show how well the mule reins, backs, and generally handles especially around it’s ears.  Also show any other qualities your mule may have; roping, cutting or other exceptional qualities.  Call Jake to make sure that we have received your video, his cell # (307) 272-6635, and to see if your mule will be accepted for this year’s auction.

Consignment preference is given to the top quality mule consignors from the previous year.
